We offer an outstanding, high success seven day hunt for bull
moose. Black Bear and Mule Deer can be combined, making this an
excellent multi-species hunt. The pictures on this page were taken
in recent years and these bulls are representative of animals
you can expect to see while hunting with us in this region of
British Columbia.
Our moose hunts are based from our established high country camps
or the main ranch house in the valley. Depending on the time of
year, stage of the rut and weather conditions, we will hunt those
areas that are going to be most productive during your hunt. One
of the benefits of hunting moose with Niut Trails is that we have
the ability to hunt the sub-alpine areas above the valley or the
thick spruce woods and bogs found in lower elevations. In recent
years the local population of moose has been increasing due to
limited entry regulations and excellent success can be expected.
As a licensed outfitter we have guaranteed licenses available,
but there is an annual quota, so please do not delay in contacting
us if you are interested in this hunt.

Prime hunting dates in this region are mid to late September
for the pre rut and into mid October for the rut. However, good
hunting can also be expected after the rut as the bulls join their
bachelor groups and snow often helps us locate the animals. We
use a variety of hunting methods throughout the season, accessing
hunting areas via horseback, hiking, ATV, and 4x4 vehicle. We
will glass clear cuts early and late in the day and use cow calls.
Calling is very successful and is used throughout the hunting
season. The experience of having a big bull respond to a cow call
is not one you will forget!
Combining Black Bear or/and Mule deer gives added value to this
hunt and can provide more hunting oppourtunity if we have early
success with moose. An upland bird game tag is also included .
We have good populations of both Ruffed and Spruce grouse, with
some Sharptails also being seen.
