Experience a quality, guided big game hunt
in the spectacular Niut Range
|
Niut Trails Outfitting offers a complete range of guided
hunts for Moose, Mule deer, Mountain Goat, Black Bear,
Cougar, Lynx and Wolf.
Because of a good variety of species to hunt, we have excellent
opportunities for combination hunts and combining species
that work well together, to increase your guided hunting
opportunities.
Located in the central interior of British Columbia, Canada,
we operate in the Chilcotin region of the Caribou district,
including wildlife management unit 5-5.
We and our experienced guides live in the area full time
and can provide the knowledge, depth of experience and
detailed understanding of the area, to make your hunt
a successful one.

Our guided hunts for moose are planned to take advantage
of your best opportunities during and around the rut period
in late September and early October. We use 4x4 vehicles,
and/or horses to access the best moose hunting areas.
Trophy Bull Moose are taken every year.
Our guided mountain goat hunting takes place at elevations
from 5000 ft. to 9000 ft. We use horses to pack in and
out of our alpine camps to access the Goat hunting areas.
Then hiking is the mode used to approach before the spot
and stalk takes place. We have excellent success with
our B.C. mountain goat hunts.

Our Mule deer hunts
take place throughout the guide area and good success can
be expected from lower elevations during the rut to earlier
alpine horseback hunts .We have a large population of Mule
deer and they make an excellent combination hunt with Moose,
Mountain Goat or Black bear.
Black bear hunts are available in the spring and in the
fall. We have a strong population of bears that are hunted
with a spot and stalk method of hunting. No baiting of bears
is allowed in British Columbia. Mature trophy Black Bear
boars are what we concentrate on, and while good hunting
can be expected all season, our best hunting is in the spring.
We often combine these hunts with some great rainbow trout
fishing.

Our winter hunts for Cougar; Lynx and Wolf are an exceptional
opportunity to harvest a record book cougar. The world
record largest trophy book cougar was harvested in this
guide area. These guided hunts for cougar, lynx and wolf
can include 4x4 vehicle, snowmachine or even snowshoes
to track down these cats after the hounds have done their
job.
Our houndsman and his kennel of hounds are professional
and effective. If you're interested in cougar hunting
in British Columbia, this area certainly deserves your
consideration.
